Q: Is the hair district a franchise?

A: the hair district is not a franchise. All seven hair district locations are separate companies that are majority owned by one owner. There are also one to three stylist owners per location that help manage our salons and spas.

 

Q: Are your salon and spa professionals employees of the hair district?

A: Our salon and spa professionals are not employees of the hair district. They are independent contractors, meaning they run their own businesses out of the hair district salons and spas. All salon managers and front desk team members are employees of the hair district.

 

Q: Why do service prices vary at the hair district?

A: Service prices vary at the hair district because all of our salon and spa professionals are independent contractors, meaning they establish their own pricing structures, service promotions, and discounts. 

 

Q: If I purchase a product at one hair district location, can I return or exchange it at a different hair district location?

A: Because each hair district location is a separate company, all product returns and exchanges must take place at the location in which the product was purchased with a receipt. 

 

Q: If I purchase a gift card at one hair district location, can I use it at a different hair district location?

A: All hair district gift cards are location specific because each hair district location is a separate company. Our gift cards can only be used at the location stated on the back of the gift card.

 

Q: Is the med spa @ the hair district overseen by a medical director?

A: Yes, the med spa @ the hair district is under the direction of Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Dr. Scott M. Jenkins. Dr. Jenkins is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Medical School and has over 30 years of experience in the cosmetic medical field.
